More info needed to chase it down, Rusty. Desktop view? Operating system? Browser?

Re: Ads

Been like that for a longtime. Gave up on the ad blockers, for PC. Started to dog the chit out the browser and locking it up.

When the ads annoy me I just use what they make the website display on different devices to my advantage.... shrink the window. Ads be gone and relegated to the bottom below where I'd ever scroll.

Give the Brave browser a try. It's quick, too.

Re: Ads

Dunno guys, I haven't had the issue either on my Old Faithful Win XP machine or the Win 10 I'm using now since the old mobo fried. I do use Chrome for the browser; that's what this site is optimized for.

Maybe Cricket can come up with some relevant input.

I can look into this, but there isn't a lot I can do when it comes to IE. Have you considered another browser?

Preciate the heads up. FF has been freezing my puter up on FB. So far Brave has operated fast & flawless on all the sites I visit.

Re: Ads

I have the keeps loading problem too. I can hit the X on my browser to stop it. But it's annoying. You start reading posts and the next thing you know you are at the 1st post (of your notification) again. On mine the loading stops after 15 seconds or so. Fire Fox Quantum 67.0.4

I am taking on line classes. Chrome and Ff are both incompatible with the program.

Re: Ads

OK, use it for that. The rest of the time use another browser. I find IE to be extremely slow.

Re: Ads

Have you tried adding the site to IE's "Compatibility Mode"? Option is located top right corner menu (the one shaped like a Gear)

Re: Ads

Just tried IE (for the first time), on W7 laptop, no endless scrolling, but my God, what a slow, sick pig of a browser.

I have avoided IE like the plague since Day 1.

In fact "we" meaning everybody in the software scene etc, used to rant on people, even though for years anything Mixrosh!t was god, and web devs all claimed that they and us "must" code for IE compatibility.

The versions of IE and Edge in W10 aren't as slow, but it's obvious they are Mixrosh!ts whores.
