Reporting In From Colorado

Hi everyone,

I'm just starting my new business repairing and refinishing decks in Colorado. This is a totally new venture for me but it's really exciting. So far I've done a decent number of bids but haven't gotten hired yet. I'm hoping I can gain some knowledge from you experienced contractors to help me on my journey.

Looking forward to getting to know you folks!

That's because I sold them a new deck with composite so they don't have to keep messing with refinishing.

Welcome to Contractor Talk, and good luck with your new business.

Check out the Pricing thread and other threads in the Business forum, for good discussions of overhead and profit margins. That's my introductory tip of the day.
