New To The Forum -- What's Your Favorite Kind Of Donut?

Just a little icebreaker. I'm a huge fan of bear claws.

My name is Scott and work for an online wholesaler of door hardware and a ton of other stuff too.

I'm trying to get a consensus on how you guys feel about internet businesses and where their place is in the world of professional contractors.

Also feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Dunkin Donuts Vanilla (Frosting) filled....a dozen at at time, is fine by me, to check out your site

Internet wholesale, your website has to "WORK", otherwise your a just another wholesaler, with a good price, who's gonna get a phone call....customer service sucks-click.

Regularly deal with three 'wholesalers' with 'internet sales sites', all three's sites are god awful terrible...one is really wurthless. Have to contact the rep or place order via phone.

What is a Catholic donut? Something to do with guilt?

Cinnamon (Dunkin) or plain. Sour cream if you can find them.

Next to the French cruellers, the apple fritter from 7-11 has always been my favorite.

You're first post on CT and it's likely to hit 100+ pages!

My favorite store bought is "old fashioned". My lifetime favorite are the fresh apple donuts made at the orchard in my hometown. They used maple syrup for sweetener. I'd be 600 lbs if I could buy those every day.

I don't like donuts that much. Unless they are free.

Re: New To The Forum -- What's Your Favorite Kind Of Donut?

I am a traditionalist and like something as close as possible as my aunt's cake donuts (she ran a bakery with 3 ranges out of the house in a small town of 3,000) and they were always available when I got up in the morning and was hungry from the aroma. The optimum was a warm plain cake doughnut with her secret ingredient. After about 20 years, I got the recipe from my cousin (her daughter) and found out that it was a little bit of nutmeg. Somehow it adds a little bit of extra unless you are a chow hound and like a lot of "stuff" on a doughnut.

Recently, I watched a TV cooking show and found out that nutmeg in Dunkin Doughnuts cake doughnuts because of the slight difference in flavor and aroma to kick off purchasing and sales in the store.
