Talking

Hey

Hi I figured I would say hello to everyone I have been lurking for a while and enjoying the site. I have been running a small handyman business for the last two years, thinking of changing to a remodeling company soon. I have been doing it most of my life flipped about 6 homes. I worked for a plumbing/electrical company for seven years during the summers (Pro Hockey Player during the winter). My grandfather is a master carpenter. We live in Richmond VA.
Things have been going real well with the business this year I just stopped playing last year. All of the business I get is from repeat customers or referrals. So I don't have any advertising expense, but I also don't know how to get help to do some of the jobs. How do I go about finding reliable subs for the company, Or is that the milliion dollar question. I want to thank all who post here for the wealth of information. Thanks Murph

Re: Hey

I am a minor league bum. I played all over mostly Lafayette LA, Richmond VA, Greensboro NC, Fairbanks AK, Zug Switzerland, San Jose CA, Danbury CN, Kansas City MO, San Francisco CA. Figured it was time to settle down and stop moving my wife and three girls around the world. Murph

Re: Hey

Welcome Murph.

From Hockey to construction uh? I guess they have a little something in common, it's just, in hockey your trying not to get 'pucked'.

Re: Hey

Have yet to get pucked in the trade. But I did lose my fair share of fights on the ice. Murph
