Truck Cap With Side Tool Box But With Tinted Glass Instead Of Painted Panels

I am looking at caps and thinking about getting one with a side tool box but I want to make it look as least commercial as possible.

Anyone know of a cap where the side windows are tinted glass but a tool box is behind it. It seems at least with Leer the caps are either recreational or commercial and the tinted windows are only on rec type with the tool boxes only on the commercial.

You could always build tool boxes on the inside.

Probably the only reason i could see worrying about that is because you live and want to park it in a community with a HOA or the town prohibits parking commercial vehicles overnight and real trucks dont fit in most garages

Alot of communities prohibit parking work/commercial trucks, boats, rvs and non drivable vehicles etc, etc in driveways or common areas

Look at A.R.E. caps. You’ll probably have to order one to get it like that. I think I had a cap like that but I didn’t have the tool box on the inside. Just a commercial cap with commercial side doors but with glass in them.

If you get the Contour or HD Series they look very sleek, the DCU series is the one that looks very utilitarian.

Yes

Pretty much all condo/townhouse communities with a HOA restricts what i posted above

If you have a work truck with ladder racks and your business name all over the side you aint parking it in a a HOA community (most of them)

That is true with HOA. I got a notification about my truck, when I lived in one. I pointed out the rules say "truck" not "pickup." I ignored them, they ignored them. I don't live there anymore.

There are some guys that only have one truck. Their work truck is their personal truck. Maybe he wants it to look incognito. I understand. I like to drive my personal truck because nobody recognizes me.

They have their place and alot of people like the fact that their hillbilly neighbor cant park his 77 impala up on blocks with no wheels on it covered up with a blue tarp for a cool decade.

Maybe some people want the “freedom” to do what they want on their property but other people might not want to look at that every day either, there is nothing classier than a bigblock chevy hanging from a engine hoist in front of your neighbors house for the world to see their shade tree mechanic hobby.

Different strokes for different folks

Personally, I would never live in a home owner association community again however I understand why some people like that
