Trailer security

Some piece of **** tried stealing my dump trailer this morning from my front yard with a minivan. At 6 am thinking I wouldn't be awake. It had a load of debris on it so idk how that car was gonna do pulling that. They had my front box open but nothing was stolen and no locks were touched. I think they were gonna try and use a smaller ball to pull it without latching since I lock the chains.
I went outside and the piece of **** claimed he was trying to just get some wood. I think they were also looking to steal tools and had no idea what the battery and hydraulic pump were for in the box.
What kind of security do you guys have for your trailers? I really don't want to come out one morning with a missing trailer.
