Re: New Trailer Build!

Some jobs are too short to justify having a porta potty. Some jobs are too far from gas station, coffee shop, mcdonalds.
So I have a bucket with a bag, cedar dust, and some TP on the handle. Little Zen time in the office.

Re: New Trailer Build!

Had my gall bladder removed, last year. Things changed alot. Seriously considering a composting toilet for the trailer.

Re: New Trailer Build!

WE are supposed to have a toilet within 10 minutes of our workers....OSHA

There is a old thread on this matter...

At 4 dollars a day here, getting a kybo is FAR cheaper then driving to the store/gas station

Re: New Trailer Build!

If I start hauling my trailer again, I will definitely have a porta chitter in it of some kind.

I've had some serious run ins, no pun bbn intended, lately. Luckily I've been on a jobsite with a commercial restroom and the other is an empty house.

However, it has become an all consuming stress, so I've resigned myself to duecing in a customers home if need be. 3 or 4 times a day makes it hard to hit the gas station.

I've even stopped eating during the day until I can find out what sets things off.

Jeez, this thread sure veered off in a weird direction.

If anyone is interested, there are whole websites devoted to talking about taking a dump.

Dont ask. It's the internet. You never know where you may end up with a seemingly innocuous search.

Re: New Trailer Build!

I didn't get the V nose so I do have room on the front to bolt a porta potty to the frame haha.

Re: New Trailer Build!

I love the idea of having a work trailer (cuz there's always a place for everything lol) definitely with a potty because it is ****y having to run to the gas station every time you have to go, I'm a female and I have had my gallbladder removed also!

Re: New Trailer Build!

Finally got my lights wired to my battery bank. One left to wire. No need for truck power anymore.

Re: New Trailer Build!

Coming along nicely! What did you use for lights? I originally used florescents, but they hung down too far and sucked when cold. Been thinking about putting in LED strips. Want to keep it simple whatever I wind up doing.

Right now with a battery charger from shore power. I have 4 batteries each which last about 24 hours with the LED lights.

Low profile LED puck lights. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Working in the passenger side. 8ft by 13 inch wide drawers. Four of them. Next to them will be level and pole storage. Next to that on the right will be paulk workbench storage.

Re: New Trailer Build!

Don't forget to check your Trailer & tow vehicle tire pressures regularly...

Ditto brakes and wiring...

As your trailer get heavier and heavier.....

A thermometer with a Laser beam pointer, to check the tires for over heating on the freeway.(Actually check AFTER leaving the high speed highway,)

If you are parking the trailer LOADED, for more then a month, maybe jacking it up to relieve the suspension and reduce flat spotting the trailer tyres.

If you paint your trailer deck, with a sanded white or very light gray porch paint it will make any lighting brighter...

Take a picture(s) when everything is correctly packed, laminate, fasten near area depicted for the new help/old help with little memory....
