Re: New Trailer Build!

Color code identical packs? or use serial #?

Or a diagonal line \ Vee on the front to index them.

laminated pack sheets in boxes? Photos of properly packed item/ draws? White board for materials needed?

dedicated 120VAC cord for battery chargers off shift/ at home, ( outdoor outlet near as possible to trailer parking...)electric heater if needed for paints and glues etc....

Consider staining or painting the interior prior to build out?

Cover floor with prophylactic layer of sheathing for greater resale value?
seal on/ paint on non-skid sand/grit.
A clean empty 5-6 gallon bucket with lid and paper....
Toilet paper for our paperless kybos...
5 gallons of drinking water....
OSHA and DOL posters?
Electronic MSD sheets?
Two fire extinguishers, one for the trailer always, the other for the work area... one mounted OUTSIDE The trailer....

I made the mistake of using it before I finished it . Still love it , wish I did it years ago .

I only need to do some shelves , like the one in your last post and the nose area. I didnít finish the nose because I was entertaining the idea of a restroom. It seems like too much hassle the more I think about it
I will have a cubby for a bucket with a seat for those "must go" times. Perks of having an enclosed trailer is you can piss in a bottle or go #2 in privacy.

Anyone who takes a dump in a box truck or trailer usually does it out of desperation. The times I have it was either that or chit in my pants.

Re: New Trailer Build!

Iíve been in that desperate situation more than once , thatís why I considered a toilet in the trailer. The number 2 emergencies are rare enough that like searching said , a bucket will do .

Plus the thought of having a holding tank to deal with , was enough to nix the idea

They have portable toilets with a removable cartridge that alot of van to rv conversion guys use. Looks pretty slick and it has a hands off way of dumping it into a regular toilet

Basically remove the sealed cartridge and take it to dump it out and put the cartridge back in when empty

Its no better or worse than than handling a bucket or bag

Yeah , I researched the heck out of the options. I came to the conclusion that it was a work trailer , not a camper . If I had to drop a log at work on a daily basis, it might be different.

Through the miracle of coffee , I take care of that before I leave the house

Re: New Trailer Build!

Iíve mentioned this many times. My brother in law in the beginning had some stomach issues. We drove around with one of those boat chitters in the back of the van. He was good for at least one a week.

The big difference between workers and owners, owners crap off the clock....

A special plug in, circuit for battery chargers, so you charge a batch at quitting time?/over night? every worknight...
invertor/battery for chargers/ maybe laptop/invoice printer???
hidden GPS/cell phone?

Lately I have had a need for a printer on the go when work orders come up mid day that require me to fill out paperwork and have it signed just quicker to do it on paper then trying to do it on a phone or tablet.

Same here.

Interestingly enough, too much of the same miracle is what causes the occasional desperate search for a garbage bag and a bucket.

Re: New Trailer Build!

Maybe they need to offer a tstak or tough system portable toilet.

Maybe packout? That would be nice, because they would be rated for 300lbs.

20v composting toilet?

Re: New Trailer Build!

Idk about you guys but my daily routine happens around 1-130 in the afternoon I try and go to lunch around that time.

I try my hardest not to go number 2 in a customers home. Love working malls or large commercial sites because you can just go to the bathroom without the customer knowing

Depending on what you eat you might have to step it up to the flexvolt batteries for the extra power
