Can You Mount An Underbody Box On Top?

What would happen? Do they leak if installed on top of a flatbed, for example?

I would think as long as it is a weather tight box, you could mount it anywhere.

Re: Can You Mount An Underbody Box On Top?

I now have toe answer to this, just in case anyone else wants to do the same.

Yes you can mount them on top, but you'll have to raise them about 2 inches or so, so that the door will open. I used Uni-Strut for mine.

Seems that only difference between under-mount and topside, is the door swing.

The only reason I wanted an undermount, is because of the size, that only came in an undermount version.

So it worked.
