2017 Silverado 5.3

i am driving a 2012 silverado with 5.3, has 107k miles on it, always dealer serviced....runs and looks like new one. at 75 mph, it will touch 20 mpg all day.

looking at a 17,19k miles, know the guy well who bought it new.

he's telling me on it's best day ''might'' hit 18.

newer ones really that bad?

Unless you got a 3.23 rear end and you only drive downhill with a tail wind I'd be calling you a liar....

FYI, i had the 12 ''flashed'' here at performance towing and recovery. andy wicks is the owner. google him, even YOU might learn something.

I have the same experience. I can get 20 if it’s all highway and not too cold. Otherwise I get between 16.5 - 18 according to the dashboard computer. Mine has 27K on it.
