I got a chance to try out my new tenryu 24 tooth in the track saw yesterday...cut like butter. On my first cut I was crosscutting and had to look around the saw to see if I was actually cutting. The cutting was so smooth I couldn't feel it.

Rail saw is great for a half dozen boards, but after that it is a waste of good time.
The nice thing is it makes me look like an all star because I'm the only guy who has the tools to do the job. Helps justify why they're paying me twice as much as some of the other guys.

Out of curiosity did you check the moisture in that wood before you started working with it. It should be no more than 12 %.

Any of the newer ones, Jorgensen, bessey, etc. Pale in comparison to the old clamps.

I have driven a couple hours each way, just to buy clamps.
Just bought 4 wetlzer clamps today from a local antique store.
