I have that hammer it blows!! Doesn't feel balanced well . Just doesn't feel right swinging it. I would give the 19oz a try, the 15 feels like all of 15 oz, maybe for a finish hammer.

I prefer my 28oz Estwing for concrete forming. I've had it about 10 years now and still going strong

Had one for a while, eventually gave it away. Too much of a curve made it hella difficult to choke up on, and the vibrations were horrendous!!!

Re: What Is Your Favorite Hammer

My favorite hammer is a little 10oz stiletto. For remodeling and finish work I see no need to carry the extra weight. This things so light I forget it's on my hip. I do still keep my trusty 20oz estwing in the van for demo work.

Re: What Is Your Favorite Hammer

vaughan ti-tec

been rocking it for about 8 years now, still got the original handle
I use it from roof to finish.
I think they have stopped producing them now and only seem to do the dalluge type titanium so will have to try that next

Re: What Is Your Favorite Hammer

19 oz Vaughan for big nailing
20 oz all metal curved claw with side puller for demo (I'll give 1000 points to whoever knows what brand it is sold as)
16 oz Vaughan for everyday (my new favorite)

All smooth face. I drag the faces across concrete once in a while.
