Used Tools,misc. Price?

I have the chance to buy a entire woodshop from a lady, her brother passed away, and she wants it gone! My question is, not so much the price of tools, BUT, does anyone know of a web site to look tools up, to give her a "fair" price? All she wants is a fair price for things! Some tools are old, but well kept, others are like brand new! I have heard in the past approx. 1/2 of new? There is everything from table saw, jointer, band saws, etc, to hundreds of clamps, and, more pliers, chisels, etc. than I can count! And there is a Porter Cable door hinge set-up jig, that he used on 3 doors! Way to many things to say!

Thanks, for any help

Dave

Price it out new. then offer less then half. Any more then half , you could buy new with a warrenty. Plus you have to load and haul it home. Offer cash and post some pics.

Then there's no morality involved.

Some folks need the financial help, some just want the crap (er, "really cool stuff") gone.

Be a pal - Make it go away.

Re: Used Tools,misc. Price?

What kind of wood shop are we talking about,.....24" planner, 8- 16"jointer ' 14-20" saw bench, 1-1/4" spindle shaper, 20-36" band saw, 4 head Mortiser , tenoner, pattern Lathe,...etc..etc..etc....stuff like that,...

Or is it a home wood shop, stuff like craftsman, porter cable ,delta ......

Please try to be a little more specific about the machinery, especially the name brand, age.....etc..etc....specifications....

If its Chinese Made machinery ....

Disregard this response .........

The valuation of everything is in the eye of the individual.
Look at the stuff, then see how you can or can't use it, and value it that way. Then explain it to her.

It is all for sale now, but I have first say on anything before it leaves the door.

As far as size etc. smaller stuff 6" jointer, 10" table saw, 10" radial arm, 12" power miter, all good names Porter Cable, DeWalt, older Rockwell, etc.
