I'll take some video too. I'm looking forward to testing it since the gearing is designed for the larger blade.

We have a Big Foot on the Bosch motor that is 8 years old and is going strong and we have an adapter kit on an old Skil that we've had since 2002 and its going strong too.

Those 10" saws are great saws.

How do you guys get to test them like that.

Could have done with this on my deck. Shame it's made in China though. I prob would have jumped on it just to have a saw that size if it was made in the US.

Is the 16" makita still made in Japan?

I'm on a list of possible testers...all I did was ask

Now, I'm not counting on getting my hands on one; but it's nice to be considered

I have never got the hate about left vs right side blade. I can cut left handed or right I am a righty by nature and never understood the hate. I can cut just as good with either hand by watching the base plate guide not the blade.

A warped base plate is gonna irritate me more than which side the blade is on.

You surly have a preference, don't you? I don't think anyone here can't cut with both hands nor is that what anyone said.

I want one.... I'll echo that I'd much rather it be made in murica though.... For $450 you'd think they could make it happen.

I'd gladly pay more to make that happen if need be.

You are right. Seeing as I cut right handed most the time I would like it on the right hand side. Just for plunge cut's is the only time I watch the blade where it is gonna cut.

Re: The New Skilsaw 10-1/4" Sawsqatch

I ran that Diablo 40t blade on my Bosh/Bigfoot saw, and couldn't cut square to save my life. It had an 1/8+ of wobble. I had no wobble with the Bigfoot 10 1/4 or several 5/8" arbored 10" blades. The blade is just too thin for it's size.

Everything else looks promising... bigger motor and gearing specific for the bigger blade

But you still have to be looking over the saw awkwardly to see the guide on a sidewinder.

I personally plunge cut just about everything

I've got a Diablo on mine right now....would definitely prefer to get the stock full kerf blade re sharpened.

But, because the Diablo is new, it cuts like a knife through butter.
