Re: Makita Does It Again

Makitas new vac looked familiar. Alot like my vac, yup it's another rebranded nilfisk dust extractor. No wonder they made that aws adapter.

Shame it doesn't come with the nilfisk 3 year warrenty. Milwaukee Nilfisk has a 3 year warrenty. I'm jealous it comes with the systrainer mounts included.

It seems they already accomplished most of this with the X2 36v.

120v. 1 year.
Also it's hard to tell what the warranty is on the 36v stuff.
All my Makita tools manuals recenly say check the website for waranty. In the web site it says 18v tools 3 year. nothing about 36v but it uses 18 batteries so it must fall under 3 year... bit of a gray area. so odd corded 1 year. cordless 3 year wtf lol

Just got the back pack vacuum, the guys really like it. Got the right angle impact, just haven't used it yet.

One of the guys got me the sub compact sawzall, it's fits between stud bays.

I really like that small Sawzall.
Sometimes you just don't need that big one.

36v is 3 year warranty, but...the one time I brought a tool in for warranty it was rejected because they said it was damaged. No **** it was damaged! It came that way and never cut straight because of it, but tough luck. The Makita rep out here basically told me I shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

18v is also three year.
I returned my 18ga nailer and they gave me another one.
I never registered any of my tools. I think they just look at the serial number and know what it's build date is and count from there.

Re: Makita Does It Again

my 36v miter has been great. what's broken on it?
I got a Milwaukee 12" slider from homedepot and had a huge crack in the base plate. Was about half inch out on the bottom plate. turns out homedepot sells returned tools as brand new.

Another homedepot BE pressure washer went after 2 hours of use. Had to bring it to certified BE repair shop. DENIED. The pump has a leak from the factory and was empty by the time it got to the shop.

If it's empty, no repairs.. real nice. I went and got another one from homedepot and returned the old pressure washer. for some reason they thought I was returning the new one
