Seems like it. They're all out of them at my local HD. Although it seems like that one only came out a couple of years ago.

That new Ridgid is one ugly saw.

I spoke to the Makita rep about just your question and his answer was no new saw, HD has them on clearance because they will no longer be selling them. Rep said they did not sell well at HD, HD buyers love the black and yellow.

Saw a new one on CL today for $450. Musta bought a few on clearance and thinks he can turn a buck or two.

Re: Makita 1016

just go the makita 10" slider. i must say it a very nice saw. spot on right out of the box. perfect finishes. laser was even perfect. actually impressed how smooth and quiet it is. at 51lbs it very compact and feels a lot lighter. unfortunately it's going the dust control is absolutely worthless even with vac and added jerry rigged skirt. the blade was even good. i hate to see it go. it's very good performer and i'm sure it will handle anything from framing to crown with a simple blade change.
onto the kapex. cut too much ipe and cedar and can't stand the dust all of over the place.

Re: Makita 1016

i bought 2007 earlier this year from a mb dealer. 1/owner trade in for 2012. 1/owner dealer services from day 1. very clean with carfax. gas motor because we work in a less then a 5mile radius.
i dropped 2grand on wrap job and now get 2-3 calls just the sprinter. i'm wrapping my chevy box later this year. i dont want to mention numbers but lets just say i closed a quarters worth of business in 1/month. money well spent. also drop a cpl of "a"frame signs at every job corner.

i used arizona design off of rt 73.

Sweeet, you def need a kapex so when you get in the truck after cutting you won't get the inside dirty!!

You got the newer style the truck is easier to wrap, I have the older style there's a lot of curves by window panels

i wanted the new stile. they a few more cubic feet in them. i'll post some interior pict after i take some. i spent about 3/days burning ply customizing every single drawer, dado shelves and 5-6ft pull out drawers.
i even built a shelf for the kapex that i haven't picked up yet.
