Introducing The BIG RED LINE UP Milwaukee® MX FUEL™ Equipment System

MX FUEL™ Breaker: Delivers a faster, safer, and easier concrete demolition experience. This is the most productive breaker, providing the lowest vibration, lightest weight, and breaks over 2 tons per charge.

MX FUEL™ CARRY-ON™ 3600W/1800W Power Supply: Provides the best power for the job. Its compact size, quiet operation, and no emissions provide efficient, accessible power anywhere.

MX FUEL™ ROCKET™ Tower Light/Charger: The new way to light the site. It’s the most portable 10’ light for both indoor and outdoor use, providing up to 27,000 lumens of task and area lighting, withstanding the harshest jobsite environments.

"Milwaukee tells us that this new platform will consist of two MX Fuel Redlithium Battery packs. We had a chance to literally get our hands on prototypes a few months ago, and by our best guess, the “compact” MX battery is roughly the size of two 12AH M18s (which looks to feature 20x of what we have to guess are 21700 cells), and the Larger version is about twice that (with 40x 21700 cells)" -COPTOOL

So the large battery is roughly 48ah

Re: Introducing The BIG RED LINE UP Milwaukee® MX FUEL™ Equipment System

I think runtime will be an issue in certain applications, but the power will exceed 120V plug in tools. 2 tons isn't that much concrete to break. 1 yard. 250 square feet of 4" slab.

72V, 3 or 6 or maybe 8 or 12 AH.

The cells are capable of sustained 30-40A, so we're talking 2000+/4000+ watts with higher surge capacity.

Re: Introducing The BIG RED LINE UP Milwaukee® MX FUEL™ Equipment System

The videos are really impressive; but if I was a milwaukee guy I would have rather they went the direction of Makita and gone to a double battery platform; or the direction of DeWalt and made a dual voltage backwards compatible battery...or a Hybrid like Metabo MultiVolt.

Tools look badass...but we all need another battery platform like we need a hole in our heads.

I understand that they have a job site fusion reactor coming out soon.

The fuel can literally be anything you can stuff in the top.

It will obviate the need to rent a Port-a-potty also.

Sweet.

Andy.

Re: Introducing The BIG RED LINE UP Milwaukee® MX FUEL™ Equipment System

So, for a ~2K I can break some concrete without a generator, that if used would run all my other stuff... Faster.... leaving me with more money...

And when the job has a modern temp power panel(s) the production level differences are even wider. IMHO.

I'd go pneumatic power before investing a ton in these short lived products...

But I'm " out of style"

Battery powered tools are improving every day, so are plug in tools...

All day or even half a day on a task, plug in tools in general = more production per hour, and lower per hour, and life cycle costs

Those tools look to be targeting a very limited market.

Re: Introducing The BIG RED LINE UP Milwaukee® MX FUEL™ Equipment System

Here's how I look at it. Each 10% productivity boost from a tool is worth at least $5 an hour.

If I'll get 1000 hours of use out of a tool, and it's 20% faster, that's $10,000 saved.

The breaker seems to out spec the Hilti 3000 for production speed.
