Re: HomeDepot.com Clearance Deals

This router bit kit is a good deal. I have one that travels with my trim router. The case protects the bits and keeps almost every profile on hand that I might need unexpectedly out in the field.

Yup they are great!! I got one for a gift a couple years ago. Now it gives me something to do on rainy days, sharpen my chiesels and planes. Grab it up! For $62 it will pay for itself.

Re: HomeDepot.com Clearance Deals

Good luck tying to buy anything there. As usual Home Dopey.com has these sales as loss leaders to get you to look . They go OOS instantly it seems. Probably have very few or even just 1 of the item to be able to list it. I only have gotten a great deal 1 time there in several years of looking, a stand Husky mortar mixer for cheap .

Re: HomeDepot.com Clearance Deals

I ordered the Worksharp 3000 and three nailers. The are all backordered, so I'm guessing none of them will actually ever get here. At least they don't charge until shipped.

Thus the reason why if I'm driving by certain stores, I almost always stop and walk the aisles.

Now that I've had time to do a little more research, I should have bought two of the screw guns.

Re: HomeDepot.com Clearance Deals

I ordered one of those WorkSharps the night ApgarNJ posted about it and I just received an email saying my order has been canceled. I was surprised they even let me try to order it because they said it was backordered when I ordered it.

So they canceled my orders for the Dewalt framer and Senco 16 gauge finish nailer, but I did get the PC compressor/nailer combo and Diablo Hardi blade, delivered today.

Re: HomeDepot.com Clearance Deals

I have tried to order deals from them before which seem to good to be true. Guess what! Non of them ever turned up. Same old order has been cancelled but they can send me the normal priced items I ordered on the same order.

Re: HomeDepot.com Clearance Deals

I got a new email from the Cheapo Depot telling me how sorry they are that they canceled my order but that there was an unexpected surge in orders. Since it became so popular, they've contacted the manufacturer to get more and if I give them a call within the next 10 days they'll fulfill my order for the clearance price. However, it will take up to 30 business days to complete the order. So, there might be hope out there for all of you that ordered stuff they don't have.

That is probably BS. I have had that lie told to me . Ordered 3 Milwaukee cordless screwdrivers, 12/2008, I called their actual Milwaukee Distributer, their warehouse, they had 64 in stock, HD NEVER responded after I called them on it. They refused finally just to complete the order even after the supervisor promised she would honor the sale.. I shop the web a lot and they are the absolute worst larger retailer. Never received anything. wasted hours with CS. These are loss leaders, just a draw to get you to the web site. IF they actually really ever have the product, it might only be 1 or 2. They have no accurate inventory control and do not care about it. They get orders in and then decide who if anyone will get product.
