Freeman Siding Nailer Problem

The boss tossed me a nailer from the shop to use last week on a job. He said not to buy one because I'm not going to be needing one often enough to justify buying one (being I was hired for finish lol). Anyways it's shooting at different depths shot to shot on this T-111 and if you guys have any ideas on what I could do short of rebuilding it in the field to make it work right.
