you can find the dark blue Sys2's on Amazon right now for $60 each.

I'm using them for organizing fasteners in the van.

The price of sandpaper sure has gone up. Around 50.00 per box. I try to find it on clearance when I can

I purchased one a couple of months back and really like it for finish work. I also have the Rotex 125 which bounces around too much for fine finish so this was a nice compliment and not to mention uses the same pads

Does anyone have a good source for a ts55 blade for fiber cement as well as a blade for 29 gauge metal roofing?

CMT PCD

https://www.festoolproducts.com/cmt-...-55-hk-55.html

I use the CMT TS-75 blade in one of my Kapexs at times.

Cutting a plaster ceiling.

I have the Festool blades for steel, they've discontinued them here. Use the Amana STL160-55

https://www.festoolproducts.com/aman...ool-ts-55.html

DO NOT USE A DUST EXTRACTOR CUTTING STEEL!!!! (unless you have the spark trap for the CT's )

These FC blade works great on Boral also.

How'd you mount the track to the ceiling? Double sided tape?

Screw through the hanging hole on the room side, clamp on the open side.

That's too simple, I expected some sort of proprietary hardware that just showed up one day lol

Simple solutions for a simpleton.

I believe it is Mafell that has a track that can be attached via the dust extractor.

Tom

I like the convenience of the switch on the hose but the older Midi can't be converted. So I was thinking of using it on a Bluetooth outlet plug.

Re: Festool Fan Club Thread

Honestly don't know if it would work.

Check Fastcap, they had a remote system with a velcro cuff on the remote switch. It's what I use on the Fuji turbine.

Tom

I have that one. It's big and bulky imo. Really like the Festool switch.
