Dewalt 20v Palm Sander Coming Ever???

Thought I'd ask, anyone know if a 20v palm sander is in the works from dewalt?

I'm still considering integrating a pneumatic sander into my workflow since the hose is always there, I don't want to screw with a cord. Cordless would be awesome for the occasion joint I need to power sand.

This and the lack of an 18ga 20v brad nailer from Dewalt has been driving me nuts! I'm a huge Dewalt guy and I don't understand why they're behind in these two. Jesus they have everything else from weed whips to shop vacs.....

Some's bastards, some's ain't, and that's the score

I know it's a bit of a parody, but he does actually use the sander with dewalt batteries.

I didn't look into it to be honest. In the comments on the video, this is what he said:

I took one of the dewalt flashlights and cut the connector part of it off, then I got the left half of the connector to fit inside the left half of the makita, then did the same for the right. I connected the dewalt wiring to the makita, screwed it all back togeather, and boom, makita sander that uses dewalt batteries.

I have a flashlight that I don't use. I may try this. It would solve my problem and be kind of cool.

I have that Makita sander, but I use it with Makita batteries. It is only good for rough sanding. No comparison to a Festool sander. The Makita sander gets used for outside work mostly. My friend uses one for quick sanding of layout lines.

Re: Dewalt 20v Palm Sander Coming Ever???

I haven't seen anything about a sander. I want one though. Just need one for little touch ups and knock downs.

The 18ga brad nailer was at the tool show. I still can't get an answer as to when it will be out.

Those are two tools I will be buying. I've even considered buying the Ryobi 18v sander.
