The only thing is how would the vac start with no power supply?????

I had actually pulled the trigger on it but it was back ordered so I canceled. Its on my list.

I doubt the dust collection would be good enough that it would really make much of a difference hooking up the vac to it, but I could be wrong. Haven't used it.

I realized it later after my last post that the button is on velcro and can be put anywhere. remember yesterday was "I'm Fried Friday" and some time some of the wheels aren't in sinc..... This past week was all wet all the time. Either from fast blow through rain or sweat and or in the 95+ every day on roof top.
slap it on the saw handle as you pull start trigger thumb the vac on . just like the "K" is now. Treat like a 2-switch/button start up.

It's going on my tool list and don't mind waiting a lil bit for a price drop for bare tool only since I already have 12 +/- 4 and 5.0 batteries.

Re: DeWALT 20 Volt Max Cordless 7-1/4" Miter Saw

It seems like when new tools releases 3 months later there is a promo (free battery, free extra tool, or a price drop) I'll give it a month or 2 more to see what happens, also open to the bare tool.
Also curious to see what milwaukee releases, it'll probably be an 8.5" so I'd rather have the 7.25 for ease of blades.

Milwaukee has a 10" mitre saw in Europe. They had better be bringing us at least something that size here at some point.

Re: DeWALT 20 Volt Max Cordless 7-1/4" Miter Saw

I'm a huge user of cordless tools and I hate cords, but the miter saw is one thing I can't see giving me a huge benefit. I like my big stand, so it's a stationary tool anyway. For trim I usually measure about 8 cuts at a time, and the stockpile is by the saw so it's efficient.

Re: DeWALT 20 Volt Max Cordless 7-1/4" Miter Saw

I purchased the bare tool version when CPOoutlets had their 20% off sale with free shipping. I thought it quite a deal at around $255 for the saw. I was immediately impressed with it. Light, smooth action, and overall excellent cutting (I did install a Freud trim blade). I have only used it to do some touchup baseboard and shoe molding so far. But I like it.

Re: DeWALT 20 Volt Max Cordless 7-1/4" Miter Saw

Im down to all milwaukee cordless, except for senco 15ga, (my other two senco guns no longer work) and my bosch 18v miter saw. If Milwaukee would would release a 10" miter saw and cordless trim guns, life would be sweet. I'd go for a smaller sliding miter saw only if it could cut 3-1/4 base standing up.
The dewalt slider looks like a good one. But I'm not introducing ano th er battery platform to the stable

It's on my list to buy. Along with cordless trim nailer. All these times when there's a single door to trim or window... Could see it being very handy

I use to have a little cordless ryobi and loved it. One of the handiest tools in the box. I'm gonna get this thing because I already know I'll use it for house calls
