Deals At Home Depot

Hey, im new here but have been lurking looking at stuff here for awhile that has helped me alot. I thought I would return the favor as much as I can. Im part of another forum , slickdeals, where alot of deals can be found on tools. I saw the milwalkee saw deal was posted, but it was posted about a week after the sale started, when most of them were sold out already. Ill post the deals I find as soon as they come out giving you guys the best chance of getting them, instead of people who will just put them on Craigslist like happend with the dewalt drills.

Right now, in few parts of the country, this ridgid bandsaw and this ridgid drill press are being clearenced.

EDIT: I cant post URLs yet so go to HD website and type in the SKU's below to see the items.

The bandsaw is down to 184.50 and the drill press is 149.50. This is not nationwide yet, but eventually should be, so if interested, you should check the price everytime youre at HD. I dont advise calling and asking if they have them in stock as employees will usually tell you they dont have any of them once they see the price because they will just buy it themselves. Better to go in and check yourself.

The SKU's for them are

Band saw: 428344
Drill press: 430264

I will post whatever else I can find

Wow they are pretty good deals. I dont even need the stuff but for them price i would by them just to have them lol.

Cheers and keep us updated. Nothing worse than people who buy the stuff to sell back on.

No luck here yet, but I'll keep an eye out. I've been wanting one for my shop for a while now.

Sweet going to have to check that out. PERFECT for quick small jobs where I don't need to setup a heavier compressor.

Re: Deals At Home Depot

i went to HD and they had the band saw and drill press but not reduced yet. I aksed the guy and he said that it's very rare for any to be left when they are reduced because the staff buy them all up before they even get the reduced tickets on the tools. I dont think they should be allowed to do that.

Re: Deals At Home Depot

I'm looking for the drill press. I would like a band saw, but the Ridgid gets pretty dismal reviews on the HD site. I'm keeping my eye out for a sale on the Rikon 14" band saw. Woodcraft has the 18" on sale for $999, which is a great price.

Re: Deals At Home Depot

I have a BS1400, older grey one. I would not buy that again. the delta [they have a new one under PC brand that appears to be good]or even Grizzly is better. The cheap trunnions are lightweight zinc castings and wheels, table flexes on the supports with heavier weights ;overall cheap build to it. I spend a lot of time ans some cash tuning it with add-ons to an OK saw. Glad I only paid $200 for a display years ago. The drill dress is on par with most.

Re: Deals At Home Depot

I was able to catch the 49$ DW trim compressor about 1 week ago. I ran out right after i read "world llc" post about it ( since hes from my area). I have the DW 5 gallon with wheels and have been happy so im sure this will be great for the small jobs

Some of these closeouts are a steal. Home chepo or not, for 49 Ill take that compressor any day

doesnt happen nationally at the same time. sometimes it takes a week or the prices to come to your HD, sometimes they dont change at all. If you have the money and really want these items, you can buy them at full price and when the price drops, you can do a return/rebuy and get the difference back

Re: Deals At Home Depot

I picked up a Millwaukee SDS drill there a few weeks ago for $149 marked down from $299. It was there last one, so I was not able to do research before i bought it. I was happy to see that it was made in Germany.
