Cutting Table For The KAPEX ,what Are Your Guys Using??

I was wondering what everyone is using for a mobile cutting table, material support with the kapex.

I currently have the Dewalt stand, which isn't really that great and might be blasphemy to put a Festool on a Dewalt stand. Anyway, I need something that is sturdy, easy to transport and doesn't take up all my van floor space.

Thanks

A word of warning. If you use that saw infornt of a window like that you may put a hole through it. Ask me how I know

But anyway I thought long and hard about stands and material supports for the Kapex. It was MFT + UG supports for me. Reason being is the MFT can be used as a support for almost anything and the UG stands work with the MFT3 and CMS but the best thing for me is they are both easy to transport and can he hung on walls.

The Ug seems alright but I am not up for dropping 825 on a stand at the moment. I could buy a few other tools for that coin. I definitely want material supports on whatever stand I would get.

I have been thinking about replacing my original supports with the new one's, but it has been a long time since I have seen them. I like the old one's but they have too many parts to break down (if you need them to store small).

Nearest dealer is 90 minutes away, so I don't see stuff very often.

I am planning on stopping by the Festool fortress while on an iron hauling adventure, and checking some stuff out, catching up with the guys down there and maybe scoping out some top secret stuff.

I really love me having the kapex mft/3, has more uses then just a saw stand.

I was kind of nervous when I bought the whole shabam at one time.

It has been four happy years of cutting stuff into smaller pieces though.

I ain't ever seen your style ones in person. How many parts are there to each side then?

Try and find out when the TS75R comes out?

I can pull them off the saw with the stops/extensions attached to the wings, but then there is a stabilizing bar from the extrusion to the mft3 that has to be in done and left on the extrusion, then you can take off the leg assembly.

It is not bad, they extend out about 4' more in length and are rock solid.

The flag stops are nice too. Tapes should be thrown in the trash.

Is the Kapex table while on the Kapex MFT the same height as the standard MFT?

I saw a pretty cool setup that Dave Reinhold had on his YouTube channel. A Kapex MFT with custom extensions attached to the crown stops that braced off the MFT. I'm thinking about doing something like that myself.

I love Festool and that setup is probably pretty compact to store, but I bet I can setup my Best Fence in a fraction of the time and possibly have better material support at a cost savings, as well.

Takes me about 1 min max to setup my ug stands. I fold out leg then slot into side of the kapex and its done. 30 seconds a side if that.

Not as quick as sounding out the supports from my Bosch stand but we talking 30 seconds difference .

I am pretty happy with material support, there is another support, besides the area at the legs. I did buy those extensions used for 400 bucks, or pretty close in there.

You are right, they will take up very little room when broke down.

The best fence is great, but any more I can put everything I need for a full interior trim out in the back of my suburban and still have a seat to shuffle my 3 kids around each day. My 20' trailer has been turned into machinery part and material storage.

The UG cutting station seems nice. Guess I need to save up some more coin. Thanks for the suggestions
