Cordless Tools. Which Do You Use Or Recommend

I've holding out on replacing my cordless tools drills (3). they are getting old and I'm down to 1 battery, and the chucks are are getting worn. It's the model they don't make anymore (I can still find them on line)

I have a makita drill set and have for a while and I really like them, what I really like is I have 2 sets of chargers, so I keep 1 at the shop and one in the van.

To buy something else will only have one charger (I can live with that)

I may end up just going out and buying something different

What area you using?????

Runtime, Charge Time, Number of tools, ergonomics, quality, durability, and price all point to Makita. That's why I use them because they are high on the list of these things that make good cordless tools.

Bosch, and I won't get into it. There are enough threads on this subject to get a really good picture on how I feel.

Welcome back!

Few people mentioned not seeing/hearing you lately in another thread. Conspiracy theories were buzzing about.

I own Bosch cordless, but only because I like the fact that the radio will take my Sirus Receiver. If the makita was able to do that too, I would own Makita. Not that the Bosch is bad, I like my stuff, but I have always had great luck with Makita.

Just been busy and not seen much worth commenting on.

Thanks for the welcome back! Ron knew that I was still living and not banned. I am sure that he led with the most posts contributing to the conspiracy theories.

I've used Bosch, Dewalt, and Makita. The Makita would be my pick. Good luck.

I think Makita makes the best lineup of cordless power tools. That doesn't mean that every one they make is best in class, just that as a whole, considering how many quality tools run off the same quality battery, they are the best bet.

Re: Cordless Tools. Which Do You Use Or Recommend

I like Makita and Bosch, however I was in my local HD yesterday and they'd finished putting up the new displays in the tool area. The Makita rep was there and they have a huge selection of kits and bare tools there. A lot of the bare tools are now only $99 which after buying Festool recently seemed almost comically cheap. The rep said that all the HDs will be getting these new displays over the next few months.

I would go for Makita.
