If it's a power tool, it comes from China or Taiwan these days.

With the exception of maybe Festool, and a few Milwaukee products made in the Czech Republic.

But it's not a chinese company that owns the company.. Many of my tools are made in Japan and here in the USA by American and Japanese ( a ally of the US) Tool companies. Skil is a chinese tool company. No more Skil for me. Anyone else can support who they want.

Didn't realize that.

I thought it was bought up by Robert Bosch Tool Company.

Robert Bosch Tool sold the Skil brand to the chinese company that had been making their tools. They also have Ego as their house brand and make many tools for different brands.

Re: Cordless Combo Kit ... Your Favorite And Why

its funny how some tools keep the name over time, I never ask for my circular saw.. just skil saw. Same with the reciprocating saw, I call every brand a sawzall.
I got the m18 super sawzall and it is a beast! It replaced my corded sawzall.

Re: Cordless Combo Kit ... Your Favorite And Why

I have Makita, Milwaukee, Metabo/Mafell, and Festool cordless tools. I stopped my thinking of staying with with one battery platform because each MFG has a particular tool that I like best. If I were to just pick one platform it would be Makita. All their cordless tools hold up well and batteries charge fast...

In fact it's nice to have a specialty tool in a different brand. That way you have separate batteries charged and ready not being used in another tool.

My Hilti cordless drill was made in Lichtenstein, and the impact driver was made in Germany.

Re: Cordless Combo Kit ... Your Favorite And Why

I like having all three big brands. Milwaukee, Makita and dewalt.
let's face it Makita line up is a bit empty compared to dewalt, Milwaukee. Mostly for smaller items like job site lights, radios, still no table saw,,.
Every company has good and bad products. Then some tools double or triple in price when comparing. Makita 18v planner is a good example. can get for $150 with spare set of blades. Milwaukee and dewalt $300. (love my Makita planner)
Milwaukee has the best warrenty for sure 5 years... Dewalt second. Then Makita last.

more than one over priced job site light would be nice.
And a radio with some bass. I've had alarm clocks that sound better haha.
have not heard good things about the nailers, vacuums either.
off the top of my head.
palm nailer.
concrete saw..
cordless jack hammer
generator
this table saw is a little over due.
