Buy A Hitachi Nailer, Get A Free Saw

As in Lowes yesterday and noticed the following offer: buy a Hitachi full head nailer for $179 and get a 7 1/4" circular saw free. The saw had a value of $99. Yes, I bought the nailer/saw combo.

Although I am a tool junkie, I normally hold off buying something until I need it. This deal though couldn't be passed up.

I bought the combo on Monday. Haven't used the gun yet, it uses non Paslode nails. Saw works fine, but I don't think it will be super durable.

Your favorite subject?

Speaking of nail gun's, will a Bostich fuel cell really work in a Trimpulse? I read on the Bostich box they were interchangeable, just curious if you have tried them.

Not that saving $6.00 is a big deal to me. I just told a lie. I want that $6.00 for doughnuts.

We use Impulse cells in our Hitachi cordless gun with no trouble. My understanding is the Bostitch & Hitachi cordless guns are similar, if not identical, so it should work.

What kind of donuts?

I've heard that they are, however, I've never seen or used a Bostitch to find out.

There's something to say for the powers that be letting a conversation naturally flow rather than try and constrict it to 'as advertised'.
