I beleive they have sharpened mine. Been awhile since I used a straight knife unit.

It's a long ways from you, but these guys do a good job. https://ballewsaw.com/

I'm fortunate to have a local guy that does a good job at a reasonable price.

Re: Blade Sharpening

Our guy in Tampa used to be great. Would come around and pick them up if you called. Then I think he hired someone else to sharpen and the quality fell off.

Tom, I like straight knives more than helical. Helical are nice and definitely a time saver when it comes time to move a nick in a knife or something but I've found you can't take as big of a cut. For a planer I'm still mulling over a helical because the straight knife can be a PIA getting it to not snipe. The jointer though I mostly use for edging material so the bigger the cut I can make the happier I am.

Hey Cali Mike, do you send your blades directly to the San Bernardino location?

Re: Blade Sharpening

Not that it helps, but my semi local place sharpens everything. Planer blades, tree chipper blades. paper slicers.. all similar to planer blades.

Another Forrest vote. They even re-tooth the blades you buy from them.

Guy picks them up and drops them off however I think they are doing away with that.
