Any Current Deals On Makita Brushless Kits?

I'm looking for a free battery or extra tool only deal. I want to try out the brushless models, but it seems that I can get a much better deal with the standard models.

HD should still have the free 3rd battery promo with the purchase of the brushless sets, I got a free one when I bought mine. I'm considering purchasing another set to get the batteries and selling off the bare tools and charger.

At least online, I don't see any message of the free battery, with purchase. I guess that I will have to take a trek or maybe try calling.

Update, I just called and they do indeed have the promotion going.

The HD over here has the LXT 239 kit for 361$ and the free battery is till the end of today! End of June, and the free tool is till the end of August. I'm trying to sell me LXT211 kit to upgrade to LXT239. I got an e-mail to call back on today from CL.

Here it is http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1...&storeId=10051

I have been using many brands and wanted to upgrade to the brushless combo set. I bought this set last week and took it home checked and tested. I found both the impact and drill having wobbling issues. When both are spinning they tend to wobbling too much bits were not stay centered. I was so disappointed with this new combo. The triggers on both kinda cheap made plastic. Overall, the quality was not up to the old Makita's standard. This set is a total junk. Don't buy it. It will go back to HD.

Re: Any Current Deals On Makita Brushless Kits?

When I clicked your first link above, I got the LXT 239 for $329 with no mention of free battery. When I clicked your 2nd link, I still got the LXT 239 HD for $ 329, with the free battery.

I'm hopefully assuming they are the same kits, one with a free battery.

It must have something to do with your location. When I click that first link, it comes to me as $ 329. Sorry about that.

I saw it as a bad quality control from makita. These new models look cheap. We'll find out if makita is letting it slide after taking over the market...

But the same tool are made different around the world for different specks. Here the brushless, one speed with a battery use indicator. But these are made in Japan and not exported. Model # Kinda hard to compare conji the roman letters
