Re: 1 Gallon Dewalt Compressor On Clearance $49 At HD

for 50 you cant go wrong, but i invested in the thomas renegade, and couldnt be happier for the last 2 yrs, its light, quiet, even runs a framer(for stud work),

and since then i saw the porter cable sales, senco, bostich, and now dewalt, im glad to say this

I DONT NEED 3 COMPRESSORS AND BACK UPS, I HAVE A THOMAS RENEGADE

AHHH JUST SAVED FIDDY $$$

Re: 1 Gallon Dewalt Compressor On Clearance $49 At HD

yeah.....all the local craigslisters bought the stores out of them and now are listing them on CL for $75-$100. Is it even worth their time? what is $25? I would have got one as a gift or as just a second trim compressor to just leave on a job while another is going.

In my area they did the same thing with Husky generators. They all popped up at once "New in the Box"

"new in the box".......The way I see it, I would be the second owner. Since it is still in the box I would give half of retail value. Just cause it's in a box won't get me my money back if it's defective for some reason.

Aguy on craiglist up here posted a dewalt 12" miter for 300.00 "new in the box" I offered him 150.00. He actually took the time to email me back saying I had no clue what a saw like this was worth....lol to funny

I've seen that one, it's super quiet. Good for a brad nailer or pin nailer only. Can't keep up with the finish nailer. For $50, that's a steal!

Re: 1 Gallon Dewalt Compressor On Clearance $49 At HD

I've been looking in every HD in the area with no luck on this one. I need a small compressor, as I hate lugging my twin stack around. Too heavy! I would get a Thomas, but too much $$ right now. Thinking about the little Senco. Anybody have any long term experience with it?

I bought the DeWalt 2 gallon at a pawn shop for $130. I've had it for about 2 1/2 years now. It's very lightweight, runs two trim guns no problem. Will get you through a pinch with a framing gun, but not efficiently. Forget a palm nailer.

Re: 1 Gallon Dewalt Compressor On Clearance $49 At HD

I've got a 3 gallon Craftsman compressor from Sears. They are always on sale for $99 and a 2 year warranty is an extra $18 or so. I just use it for trim. Works great and when it breaks, I just switch it out for a new one. No questions asked. I use to have a great Thomas twin stack. It took a dump and I couldn't see getting another. They are a good compressor though.

Not a scratch on it, plus it came with 2 25' hoses. I wouldn't be surprised if they took it out of the box to pawn it. I also got the DeWalt digital radio for 30 bucks, complete with the decals from the local radio station that gave it away.

The biggest thing you can do to extend the life of the oil lubed compressors is break them in, change the oil to synth, let it run for a min or so, and change the oil again to clean out the nasty metal from the break in. Mine runs cooler and faster and starts up much better when it is bitterly cold out.

And thanks for the offer Matt. I apperciate it.
