Building An Open Wall Shed Off A Steel Building.

I'm wanting to build a shed off of my pole barn on one side. Nothing special just something to keep rain and snow off of my tractor and stuff. The barn is corrugated steel and the shed will be wood with shingles. My concerns are how to flash the roof to the corrugated steel. Any ideas?

I would cut the steel so that it can be flashed properly. Anything else is gonna leak. You should cut a section out to properly attach your ledger anyway.

Second that thought, any other way will turn out to be a mess.

Where are you looking to tie into? On the end wall or side wall.

I can see cutting it in, I just don't know what kind of support is behind it. The inside has corrugated steel also.

If it is a normal pole barn it have girths running horizontal to fasten the metal to. Should be able to figure out the pole spacing , Cut the metal where the bottom of the ledger board will be , and I would remove the metal above there, put shed roof on , flash and replace metal above it. Really not not to hard of a job to do just a little time.

Yup, going to have to cut the steel to install legder. Just a basic L" Flashing should work for shingles. Of course the degrees of your roof slope. Install behind steel and over shingles. I would install a base trim for looks but not needed. I would also remove the steel so I could install ice and water membrane also.
