Do you follow O'Reilly's around the US? Look for projects like that on Bluebook?

No not really, we don't follow any particular store and I don't search for any projects. We get invited to bid on them and typically I will do projects for developers and national GC's that I have formed relationships with over the years. There does seem to be an increasing amount of the national chain stores being built everywhere. The schedules are almost unrealistic, so they really don't have a ton of time to search for good subs. So when they find good ones, you'll get a ton of work.

Primered gray structural metal huh. I've always seen it red, hence the term "red iron." I guess you call it gray iron. Looking good. Is it odd to still have leaves on the trees in Michigan this late in October?

Yeah I think they're building 200+ a year. We have another on coming up north of Chicago.

The majority of the manufacturers do use red oxide primer, but there is a handful that use gray as their standard. I even seen one that uses green and one orange.

This is the first project we've done in Michigan, so not too sure about the leaves. But hopefully it's a good sign that we'll have a mild winter!!!!

Re: New Start In Michigan

Nice pics, i am excited to start dropping steel on my site next week.
Do you have any pictures of how you rig up beams on a zoom boom? We got some 30' #4000 beams to put in and the last thing we need is questionable rigging.
