It's About D*** Time!

Only took 5 years to build handrails for my own home.

Been looking at those ugly crappy one for 12 years. No more, they're going to a buddies farm to be used for goat pens.

I would call them "artwork" not just railings.
Very nice work.

Absolutely gorgeous!
Great job of blending form, function, & artistry.

I would assume you earned a lot of points for your effort?

btw.....5 years don't seem like much to me!

Good proportion. The key to good design. You have a great eye.

Made for super simple install. Cut to length and fastened with L brackets.

Haven't messed with many timbers before. I'm no woodworm. Tell me more about these stand offs.

BTW, I haven't put any preservative on them yet. What would a pro do?

Ive had one carpenter recommend Sikkens clear stain.

I definitely like the natural color and don't mind if it greys a little. More grey would go good with my siding, but I'd be totally ok with it staying the current color.
