Nice Little Exterior Face Lift

This project is for one of my friends parents. He built this place 35 years ago and it was hard for him to turn this project over to someone else, but he has been after me for a year to do this for him.

We tore out and reworked the front side walks and poured new stamped concrete (did not get a picture of that today)

All new hidden vent soffit, fascia. New gutters with leaf releif will be going up this week.

I am using ex-cel colored pvc trim around the garage door, two front entry doors and for a band board to break from my olive vinyl to the foundry vinyl shakes.

Found some rot this morning that I will need to repair tomorrow.

More pictures as I progress.

I will try to load them to PB and see if I can repost them until I figure out why my new phone sucks.

I have no idea why my new phone does that.

Fixed pictures in first post, no more sideways.

I will install them once my gutter guy is done. I carried the step flashing down the wall, behind the fascia and lapped over my paper.

I have to make my kick outs a little different due to the style of gutter guards that the owner choose. They go under the first row of shingles. They cost more then the gutters did.

Sweet. Festool must be coming out with a new line of vinyl siding tools.

Re: Nice Little Exterior Face Lift

I like to start vinyl at the inside corner and let the seams face in to it

Away from the primary line of sight is what I was taught.

Re: Nice Little Exterior Face Lift

I cut all that soffit with my mft3 and ts-55r. Worked like a champ.

I try to lap with line of sight in mind. Sometimes it is a guess as you don't know what way people walk around their house.

Re: Nice Little Exterior Face Lift

I got busy fixing under those windows today and trying to get them flashed and that wall prepped.

I did get some pictures of the side walk I did though.
