Did you know that even though it's made in Canada, we could only get the 12' lengths. 16' lengths were produced strictly for the states and not available in Canada??? Wonder if we can get them now? :-)

Re: Exterior Of MY House Questions.

I have decided on Marvin wood ultrex windows, primed wood interior (the all ultrex interiors look too vinyl windowy for me) black exterior, vertical 2 over 2, narrow putty bead.

I am planning on pulling the claps down, repair ones that need it, prime, paint and reinstall over some sort of rain screen/air space behind it.

I am pricing the new boral siding out of sheer curiosity.

Any new trim will probably be boral, but I have no issue reusing any trim that I can.

I am ordering 8 windows next week, time to get off the pot.

I got a price on the Boral siding, 600 bucks a square.

Good luck with that Boral.

Yeah, the all Ultrex ones are kind of a bridge between clad windows and vinyl windows. The all Ultrex casement windows are actually pretty nice (as far as casements go), though. I just did a sunroom with them.

I have a couple of Integrity wood/ultrex with SDL that I have to do for a customer soon. Nice looking window.

Warner have you looked at Milgard windows. That have a great warranty that even transfers to a new home owner.

I am going to make my conscious feel better by making some wood louvered with a raised panel shutters that are operational for at least all the front windows.

Geeze, it would be nice to be able to work on it, but the 2" of rain again today, puts a damper on things.
