Re: What Kind Of Gloves Are You Buying?

Gloves wear out at any price. For day to day crap I use a fabric leather combo from RW. I pick them up at Menards for $4.99 a pair. They usually last a few months before a hole wears into a finger or two.

If I am doing demo work, I use all leather gloves. I don't care how rough your hands are, it makes no sense to get a large splinter or rusty metal shard in your hand to slow you down. Any time I am handling glass or a mirror, I use leather as well.

I hope they dig thumbs that dont close all the way

My hand still aches after a lot of use. I hung drywall for about half a day the other day to make sure it was ready for our drywall inspection so they could tape and float over the weekend. My hand was killing me that night.

This saturday I did a lot of shovel work up at the VFD, same story. Only been six months, hope it gets better.

Hows rehab?

Only one session so far, have another on Tuesday. Not supposed to be using it yet, which is good, because it doesn't work yet.

Still holding out hope for being able to pull a trigger Saturday though.

Dont push it, not worth it.
except for dove season maybe....

I am hunting Saturday local, lease sunday and Monday. Got a three day trip booked in San Isidro on the mexican border for opening day there, Sept 21.

Speaking of thumbs screwing up a good time, I dont think I can use my 2 year old Shimano Calcutta bait caster any more at the coast. Cant feel the pressure with my thumb. $300 down the drain Might have to cast left handed.

They are mandatory on most military projects around here.

It's seems like lately in the last year or so I've been cutting up the backs of my hands maybe after a certain age the old skin gets thinner. I use the fingerless gloves for a little protection.

Yeah, needed my boxing gloves.

No, cut the tendons, then ruptured them.
