The other door looks to be in the closet. I bet if you turned that door upside town the knob would be in the right spot

Re: The Wall Of SHAME!

Had to save this beauty from falling over today

This is what happens when a homeowner () decides to build a roof that will save the porch from rain and snow. The structure makes it impossible to get the house with a roof shovel and creates one big ass ice dam, pushing the entire thing about a foot out at the top. Wish I had a video of the moment it freed up, talk about swaying.

Edit... Sorry to hijack your thread, thought I was posting on the other wall of shame thread. Doh

Water main shutoffs are superfluous, really.

Re: The Wall Of SHAME!

Driving past today and saw a collapsed roof, The pictures are not brilliant as I was driving at the time but it looked like the collar ties had give way and spread the walls, the wall on the back side had collapsed half way down

You're not supposed to post pics of your own work here!

I did some base for a friend one time. Left out two pieces so he could put in a baseboard heater. He comes back at me later, complaining about me not cutting mitres in the last corner. I explained to him that I planned to cope them when I put them in

He said "don't worry about it. I put the pieces in and caulked the gap."

I haven't dared to go back and look.

I see several areas that could use a good caulkin'. What's going on to the right of that base? Door casing?
