It doesn't make sense.

You can still test the water with you foot, just put your foot in the shower instead of your hand.

A tub spot in a shower looks ridiculous.

You think the tub side still controls the spout in the shower? That would be classy.

If you have a glass panel on the wet wall, you have to reach in to turn the valve on. You are in the stream. As soon as you turn it on you are getting wet.

It allows you to turn the water in without getting soaked.

You make a good point, but I still don't like the look. I'd rather just get wet with water that is too hot or too cold.

I've been able turn on a shower for years without getting soaked. Even if I were to get soaked, I'm about to step into a shower, and get soaked, so.....

The door to an addition. The contractor asked the homeowner if the house had 8 foot ceilings. She said no, 7'6"...I guess he had a short attention span.

We have a tub spout in one of our showers, and it's very useful, for washing sand off your feet if you're coming in from the beach, filling a bucket with warm or hot water, etc.

Re: The Wall Of SHAME!

I've never put a tub spout in a shower but i have put a sprayer down low to wash dogs. And I have put the shower controls outside of the shower so they could turn the shower on without getting in. I didn't like the idea but its not my bathroom either.

Not just that, but...

No matter what, measure it yourself, just for peace of mind.
It's your job, your responsibility... Don't forget the floor covering.

Saw this on facebook just now:

$300 includes all materials, built same day. Even includes flower pots so you can dress it up.

Do you be the a-hole and speak up?

With stuff like that, if it's a friend, be stoked they're into doing stuff and encourage them to call you to help on the next one.

Otherwise, why rain on their ugly parade?

Hope they wear hard hats on the next windy day. Maybe they'll hang a clothes line up on one of the posts and bring it down that way
