Sliding Cabinet Doors

Hey Guys,

I have a customer that I built some built in pantry style storage cabinets for. They have now asked if I can change the swing doors into bypass doors.

The doors are full overlap with euro hinges. I know most bypass kits require the doors to be taller than the cabinet. Is there anything that would work without rebuilding the doors?

Thanks

Re: Sliding Cabinet Doors

Bypass doors usually fit inside the opening and shorter than the cabinet and people hate them. There were around from the 60s, plastic or wood tracks that would break.

Are you sure "bypass" is the right type of door?

Doors are smaller than the cabinet, not sure why he said they would need to be taller

Re: Sliding Cabinet Doors

Heís that style of bypass doors donít work very well. This is the direction that I was referring too for hardware.

This requires the doors to be taller than the box to hide the hardware but I thought there might be another option out there that was similar without the need for the extra height.
