Re: Help Me Decide On An Oxy Set!

these bags are considered and priced as occidental's "entry level" bags, but the only thing cheap about them is the price. build quality is unbelievable. when shopping for an occi set i found most of their bags to be too big and bulky for my needs (production framing) and then i came accross these bags and its like they were designed for me. and apparently were, since they're named "rough framer". they're the style of bags i've always used(i used to buy cheap home depot pouches and would destroy them in a matter of months), except bigger, way better made, and more carefully designed. they have every pocket and tool holder i need with none extra. also very lightweight and comfortable. absolutely perfect.

note: the belt the bags are on is an AWP belt from Lowe's cause i had store credit and decided to save $50-70 instead of buying an occi belt.

Re: Help Me Decide On An Oxy Set!

Yeah I tried on a bunch of different sets like the Fat Lip bags and although they were really nice they were just way to big. That's why I went with the oxy lights.

The ones you have are made from the same great material as mine, just configured differently.

I bought my one of my guys this belt and he loves it but we both came up with the same conclusion. Everything about it is perfect except the hammer loops. He wished it was leather like my oxy lites. I have to agree with him. He did the same as you did with adding the back belt loop. And now the one in the front just gets in the way.

Re: Help Me Decide On An Oxy Set!

I didn't buy the complete set cause I wanted an all leather belt, an extra hammer loop, and didn't want that 3rd rafter pouch. I like the hammer loop on the side cause I have the option of where I wanna put my hammer and it's good to have a 2nd when I wanna carry a stapler to do roofing or snips or whatever. whole set up cost me $140 including shipping since the belt I bought with store credit

I have the adjust to fit fat lips. I love em, my first set was stolen... tried some other occi's on but still went for the fat lips. A bit wide yes, but sweet.

I have the Adjusta-fit Pro Framers. I like them for what I do these days. Not sure about the attached tape holder though, it is too high up. Next is the padded suspenders and I'm all set.

I thought the same thing about the tape holder years ago but now it's second nature. The suspenders are nice
