Condenser Cleaning.

From a few days ago. Nothing spectacular, just another condenser cleaning that I took pictures of pretty much for my own benefit and record. The day before the cleaning I installed a new 1/4 hp 1075 condenser fan motor 60/5 mfd run cap.

She purrs now!

And after.

Re: Condenser Cleaning.

Old Consolidated furnace that needed a new Smart Valve. Furnace wasn't firing all the time.

Had to pull this thing competely apart to get the valve off.

And of course I busted my knuckle in the process.

My thougths towards the valve for that.

And in the end, I won.

Re: Condenser Cleaning.

Compressor changeout. I was pretty pleased with my piping on this, only using soft copper.

The low and high side connections are reversed on the new compressor.

I unsweated the low line and rolled it over and added a foot and a 90 to get into the compressor. The high side I simply cut the exisitng upwards 90 off andd flipped it down to fit. It 90'd perfectly down into the port.

And the lineset cleaning and pressure test once it was all brazed together.

Re: Condenser Cleaning.

The Fieldpeice SMAN3 are fairly low priced, they take a beating. I forget how many different refrigerants it has sats for.

Does Microns, SH, SC, can also be used to determine target SH.

Re: Condenser Cleaning.

I know, but they're built cheap. My boss is on his third set and the handle is broken.

Built cheap?

Mine have been dropped, soaked, used very hard. No problem with them.
