Kitchen Remodel Mount Laurel, New Jersey

Here is the before and almost finished after of a nice kitchen remodel. Repeat customer, we did their wainscoting in their previous home and again in this new one.

The before was about 8 years old, builders grade everything. Floor was removed in about an hour

We removed the separate nook and made it part of the kitchen.

the beams were previously telephone poles that were made just for this job. Hand hewn and installed with no visible fasteners.

We also continued the applied molding that was in the hallway, painted the mantel and installed new doors. a new front door and having the stairs redone are on the docket.

What type of hardwood flooring is that?

All custom cabinetry?

Solid 3/4" mahogany.

They are Grabill cabinets. I believe they are considered semi-custom. We did not do the design or provide the cabinets, there was a designer involved for that.

The kitchen looks too nice for an oversight like that. Must be inside the cabinets.

They are on the bottom of the cabinets, along the wall. The island has them on the backsplash like normal.

If you're back out there, could you snap a shot of those? I'd love to see how your guy did that.

People always complain about the amount of receps I need to put in for code and ask me if I can hide them somehow. I'm guessing I probably still can't since we're in conduit land here. What a nice clean look!

Thanks!

Re: Kitchen Remodel Mount Laurel, New Jersey

The Kitchen cabinets was mostly done by a local kitchen company. The majority of the fixtures and finishes were done by the HO, and we had some input with paint colors, the trim, the ceiling, and some tweaking of the island layout.

I will see if I have any, but when we do the back splash I will make sure I do.

Installed them at my parents too.

We have whips out of the wall for the lights and receptacles.

And you can see them out of the drywall in a previous picture. Then the lights are installed towards the front and theses strips are along the wall. Not sure id this is the exact brand the electrician used but this is what they look like.

When the light rail is installed none of it can be seen and the back splash is super clean.

Yep, when we use low voltage pucks around here, they are allowed in romex whips and I can hide all the wiring in the light rail.

I'm really interested in the GFCI's and how those are set up. Post a pic when you get back there to do the splash.

PS, and any switching for garbage disposal, over sink lights, etc.
