Foghat, some arena in St. Louis, in '74. My older brother toted me to a lot of concerts when I was little which spawned my awesome appreciation of music today.

By "some arena" do you mean "The Arena"?

"Kiewit’s design called for a lamella roof supported by 20 cantilever steel trusses, eliminating the need for view-obscuring internal support pillars. The lamella design consisted of Douglas fir ribs, 3.75 inches thick, 17.5 inches wide and 15 feet long, fitted together diagonally and giving the appearance of fish scales. The huge structure was completed in 1929, just over a year after construction began. At 476 feet long and 276 feet wide, it was behind only Madison Square Garden as the largest indoor entertainment space in the country. A 13-story building could have been erected inside of it."

...sigh, you kids today, no appreciation for history.

My first concert, The Police, Ghost in the Machine Tour, April 1 1982 at The Arena.

Rest in peace Old Barn.

Probably, but don't really remember. Might have been the Arena, might have been Kiel Opera House. Might have been the Fox. I left the better part of my memory somewhere back in high school.

Re: Your First Concert ?

Snuck into a bar in Louisville (the Mad Hatter) when I was 16 to see Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes. A few weeks later went back to see ZZ Top.

Can't remember the 1st arena show I saw, probably Bob Seger.

Iron Maiden and Twisted sister opened for them in Salt Lake City, and like two weeks later Ozzy and Motley Crue it was a good month.
