Wife Put A Nice 10 Point On The Ground Last Night.

My taxidermist has been giving me crap that we needed to kill a bunch this year to help pay for the new cabinets his wife wants me to build her.

My wife Jenny done her part last night. She's passed this buck earlier in the week a mile from where she shot him last night. She was second guessing that decision the first time around, but she didn't second guess last night.

Thats a very nice looking buck,
It has very nice, smooth, evenly shaped tines.

I was going to say rack ....
Then I thought nah, that'd be rude....

Ah, what the heck ....

Not sure if I'm more impressed with that nice buck, or the fact that you take your wife hunting with you.

either way...

Hell boys, her being able to shoot is the least of my worries. She wouldn't be that merciful. She'd just beat me half to death if I cross her to far.

Nah, in truth jlhaslip is right, I made a good catch. She's put up with my shennanigans for 24 years & counting & works right beside me day in & day out. We make a durn good team. Plus, I never get nagged at for taking off work & going hunting.

Was that deer in the head lights look from the previous evening? I would say that your flirting with sundown if the buck was shot right after the pic.

Nice buck though.

Same here about the light in the first pic and the full moon in the last pic. Maybe it took a while to drag it out of the woods.

Re: Wife Put A Nice 10 Point On The Ground Last Night.

If hit with one with a bow, I always wait at least a half hour 45 minutes before even starting to track. Let it lay down and die on it's own. If pushed they tend to go a long ways and sometimes can even clot back up, then you lose the trail all together.

If hit 15 minutes before dark, it would be pitch black by the time I found it too.

Re: Wife Put A Nice 10 Point On The Ground Last Night.

Don't know where you boys see a full moon. She shot him 15 minutes before sunset. Legal shooting hours end at sunset here in MO. I was on my way to play poker when I got here text that she knocked one down & had to drive 45 minutes home, go field dress him, drag him out, wash him out then take the pic.

So, when does shooting hours end where you boys hunt?

Maybe what I thought was the moon is just a spot on the lense to the right of her head.

Anyway, I was just ragging you a little to some extent. I do my hunting in the same place I do most of my fishing, at the grocery store.
