Where Did They All Go?

Yesterday morning I got up way to early for work. So after I got ready, I had an hour before I had to leave. So I got on Contractor Talk and started kicking around.

I dug some old threads up and started looking around. To my surprise, I didn't know anybody!

So I started looking at some more old threads, I've never seen or heard of these guys before. I even saw a couple of mods that I hadn't ever seen.

Are all the old guys gone? Are we the new guys? I wonder if we will be gone in a couple of years?

I know this may sound silly to most, but I like CT, and I hope to be around for a while

I just wondered where they all went.

A common misconception here is that membership is free. If you go 3 consecutive years without paying, they kick you off the site. I can PM you my paypal so that you can catch up and not get booted.

I like it here too, now if we just had a place to go that all the new people couldn't see what we talked about.

Wonder who the 'longest active user' is??

I see Warren's born on date is 2005...

He's gotta be one of the 'survivors'

I joined in 2008 and there are many that are gone and I miss ready what they have to say. I stopped being a regular for a while. It got old for a while there. But ultimately a great site to come and chat.

A timely question since I'm admittedly on the fence about cutting out cold turkey these days. This thing is a strange addiction, and then there a couple "personalities" I find annoying, but who never seem to shut up.

Hatchet.

Genecarp.

Glshousbltr. Or however you say that one.

Neolitic.

Teetorbilt was still here for a moment when I signed up.

Sometimes I get bored. Or busy. Or both. Or I piss people off. And then I have to go for a while. But like a bad dream, I keep coming back.

Too bad, MarkJames.

Delta
Teetor, Gene, and Neo where a few of who I was thinking of.

But you would
have to get
used to the
way Neo typed.
It was
really weird.
Not sure
why he
did it
that way but
it was very
unique!

I plan on being here till I'm old as Tin.

Hm... maybe we won't still have the internet then...

But for real, this place is quite awesome and I hope to stick around.

Re: Where Did They All Go?

I think sometimes people just get burned out. There willbe personality clashes and then sometimes a bunch of redundant questions by a whole bunch of new one time posters. Cole and Kato were good ones. Angus, Whipple, and Mikes Plumbing. I know some of those were banned.
