We do, and I never said I like shoe leather. Your points are valid, but don't take into account that virtually raw meat like that can still contain live parasites.

The reason I like steaks my way:

1)Blue beef is excellent source of iron
2) It tastes better than cooked beef(most of the time)
3)All the fats dont saturate so its not as big of a damage on your body.
4)Goes through your digestive tract
within 12 hours instead of 2 days(for well cooked meat of any kind)
5)Helps you to get leaner.
I dunno wtf you are talking about but I like raw beef too, slice it thin and eat it cold. Thing is it needs to be a real lean cut like well trimmed tenderloin.

Yet if I am going to have a steak I like it heavily marbled with fat and cooked to mid rare. Fat needs to be melted a bit to maximize deliciousness.

Beef has a pretty low pH, as long as it hasn't been sitting around very long I have no problem eating it raw...now chicken is a different matter.

Re: When Wife/gf Is Not Cooking.

I was taught for a really good rare steak you only want to flip it once. Have the grill fired up and hot! Sear it..turn it 90 degrees..flip it after one minute and sear and rotate. Enjoy! Love a great rare steak. If its good fillet, I can eat it raw & cold with just a little salt and pepper.

I do all my own cooking. Everything goes into one pot. Less dishes to wash. And its way cheaper to do your own cooking then to marry someone to do it for you.

Sounds good, I'm no raw meat guru...I'm just a pig that eats anything.

I thought it looked familiar except around here the side plate always has thai basil, fresh coriander, a single bird chili (no jalapenos like in your shot) a mountain of bean sprouts and a lime wedge.

I couldn't even imagine making it myself, must be 20 ingredients in that broth the flavour is so complex...plus it's cheap...really cheap.

Ottawa is littered with Pho' restaurants, that and Shawarma joints...no Mexican food though...

I have lamb every chance I get which is about once a week. Mediterannean in kabaabs, Indian Mutton Curry, on specialty pizza's which we have tons down here that use lamb, shank, you name it and I'll eat it.

Love lamb! So dang soft and tastey! Can I come over?

Dang, all this talk of food and now I'm hungry. Gotta go.

Muslim way of bleeding animal(cutting throat) originates in Ancient Rome...thats how we bleed animals too(may not be too humanistic, but oh well)...when animals blood is drained and doesnt stay on meat for too long, its tender.

Back home my grandma would kill an animal 7 days before easter and we would eat lamb for seven days straight...everything in lmb(besides its pelt) is edible.

Sure, you are always welcome,I will show you some variations of kababs (such as bistecca alla milanese) and plenty of other good stuff such as italian goat and lamb stew, italian cutlets and lamb meatballs.

Not to mention soup from legs and head...rich of calcium,if you break a bone, eat that for 10 days twice a day and you will be out of cast in no time.

I can usually eat a bag of starburst jelly beans, couple Pepsi's and about 15 pieces of salami with habenero cheese, after 10 pm, most nights.

Re: When Wife/gf Is Not Cooking.

My wife takes the kids and goes and visits her mother for a couple weeks usually in the summer! One of my favorite meals to make when she's gone is homemade meat sauce and spaghetti. It's a recipe I saw on triple d on food network. It has ground beef, ground turkey, sausage, bacon, and chicken in the sauce. Its so good..heart attack in a bowl..but so good. Couple friends usually come over and we drink while I cook it and then chow down a few hours later!
