I asked my buddy yesterday (the one that runs the Conoco) and he said the Deep Rock station he worked at had a card you got "punched" for every $5...and when the card was full, you got a tank of gas up to 20 gallons. Free. He said it was funny how people would try to get in nearly empty when they had a card fully punched....it killed them to "waste" the card for 16 gallons.

Re: What's The Cheapest You Have Paid For Gas? Sorry Kids...

I think the first time I bought gas was 1971 for around 29 cents/gallon. I was 14 and stole the car. I was pissed the thing was on empty and had to get gas just a block or two from where we took it.

Driving legally, I honestly dont remember the price. I just got my license during the embargo and my dad would let me have the car. Only to go sit in line to get gas. Id have the car for three hours and put 2 total miles on it.
