Dino the Dinosaur soap and blow ups. I know there were other Dino items, just don’t recall them all.

Sinclair ran a promo where we gave away 9 volt transistor radios. Sinclair green with the Dino logo.

How about the styrofoam ‘76 antenna balls, I think they were the ones that gave away revolutionary war toy soldiers also

I remember glass ash trays.....everyone smoked back then and even if you didn't, you had ashtrays in your house.

S&H Green Stamps were a big deal in rural communities. I remember my grandmothers and my mom religiously licking stamps and filling books. My mom got a new sewing machine....and one of my grangmothers hosted card parties....the card tables and chairs all came from the S&H store.

Close in the early 80s.

After ARCO (they came after Sinclair in the Chicagoland area) left Chicago my fathers staion became a Union 76. The sign was 2 half’s, not the full ball. Only company owned stations got the full ball sign.

We gave away the antenna balls, don’t recall the toy soldiers.

We didn't have any gas back then. We'd saddle up a dinosaur instead. Now those dinosaurs are the gas YOU'RE using.

.25 when I started paying for it, 1969. We knew how to drive by 12, tractors, cars, motorcycles, didn't pay for it then. Grand dad had a 200 gallon tank for the tractors that we all used.

Many stores and gas stations gave them away. Amount was linked to how much you spent. Pasted the stamps in a book. S&H had stores where you could redeem your books for different items

My wife and I were at a "Vintage" show...(antiques, etc.) and there was a booth that had several of the books with stamps in them...they were smaller then I remembered.

I can remember sitting in the family station wagon with my mom or dad and they would regularly get $1 or $2 worth. With a 20 gallon tank, $2 was 1/2 a tank.

I can still here my mom's voice saying "Give me a dollar's worth of Ethyl"

In the mid 80's I would borrow the party wagon and put like .69 cents in it. At 10 miles per gallon, it didn't go very far.

I always hated to call my Dad and tell him we were out of gas.

Lowest I remember it when I was a kid was $0.377

I think the lowest I've personally paid was about 85 cents. I know when I started doing my long distance daily drive out to Coventry (60 miles round trip) it was just around a buck a gallon +/- 10 cents

At the gas station, S&H was in booklets. We tore them out and handed them to the customer.

At the bigger grocery stores, the stamps were spit out from a dispenser.

we had mostly blue chip stamps, same thing as s&h.

grocery stores did have them in a dispenser.

mom would glue them in to books and go to the blue chip store to get stuff.
