The What Are You Listening To While You Work Thread.

I was just cutting out a window on this fine Sunday evening and figured I'd start this.

When I'm working on a Sunday I usually go country.

Tonight: Clint Black

Make them listen to Helen Reddy or Mel Torme as punishment.

We listen to the local radio station (mix of classic and modern rock) on the job site radio typically, and I listen to terrible heavy metal on my mp3 when I'm doing trim.

I rarely listen to music in the shop anymore. I like to be able to hear my thoughts. But on occasion when I sand I listen to head banging metal, angry music mostly. When traveling to and fro I listen to talk radio news.

Otherwise I listen to the machines, the dust collector and the air conditioner.

That was me tonight as well. Started around 8:30, but I did get out of the heat for an hour or two to eat something. Now I'm sitting in the front yard listening to the crickets and watching the bats fly around.

Re: The What Are You Listening To While You Work Thread.

If Im around a customer I have the local country low in the background.....( we do not have a much for rock station here, they play crappy old stuff no one liked even in the 70s )

If its just me n the guys were listening to hard rock or metal,( work faster music) if we have power and no neighbors close its from my truck pushing 2000 watts rms otherwise its boombox on mp3 player.

I have actually watched the production speed music plays on the same guys, Last roof Octaine was 2x faster then country And i mixed it up hourly on same day.

Re: The What Are You Listening To While You Work Thread.

We don't really listen to music at work

20 years or so ago I listened to Howard Stern a LOT

25 years ago I spent a winter working on a framing crew-we never listened to music EXCEPT on Saturday morning when the boss played a local radio Polka broadcast every Saturday. ( the polka was horrible at first but after an hour or so you just kind of laughed at it and goofed on it a bit---and eventually had fun with it----after a couple Saturdays I got to kind of look forward to Polka Saturday mornings!

now-a-days we don't listen to music- but from time to time my youngest guy(25) plays podcasts of history stuff----sort of like a college lecture format which is cool and helps take the conversations in a lot of different directions.

Classic rock, country, usually on spotify or pandora. I just can't stand hearing the same music everyday on the radio. And a few podcasts, big o and dukes, mike omeara, and Adam Carolla

Talk radio mostly Rush Limbaugh, Jay Mohr sports and some local talk or sports talk shows. That history podcast sounds interesting do you know what it's called Stephen?

My god what good timing this thread has.....

My hands like Katie Perry and those other chicks.... so I believe does Vinyl...

I let them have their way when we framing an addition Thursday. The wife pulled up with a surprise lunch basket. My hands had just went on lunch and walked down to the tank to fish for bass as the ranch owner told us he wanted them cleaned out before he had it re stocked.

I was the only one there, nailing off some decking. Lol.

There were some inuendos thrown around. Lol
