How long til the GoPro footage from inside the thing shows up?

I wonder if he tested an unmanned rocket first?

Only feel bad for his family. Darwin wins again I suppose.

I read the whole reason for his rocket was to go up high enough to see and prove that the earth was flat. What a way to go though.

Well, the earth is still round, but he's flat.

This is what happens when you deny the findings of the scientific method.

A backup parachute would have come in pretty handy on that experiment.

Redundancy is so underrated.

I read or heard he had a theory that the earth was shaped like a disc.

I don't know. By your own hand in your own rocket is better than a whole lot of ways I could think of.

I don't understand how anyone would be a flat earther for any reason other than pissing off normal people, but I have the utmost respect for any amateur rocketeer.

Re: What A Rough Way To Go.......

I tend to agree Easy, a lot of worse ways to go.

The guy had moxy, planned on rocketing to the edge of the atmosphere. Too bad he didn't have his chute together.

I mean, I agree. But let's be honest, hes still a dumbass.

I feel for his family but dumbass, nonetheless.

He had the guts, just never was any glory in any of it. Gotta pick your battles.

Wouldn't a balloon be a lot cheaper/safer to get up to 5000ft?

If not unmanned at least put a damn monkey in there first to test it.

At what point did he realize the chute failed I wonder? Fun ride up, not so fun ride down.

May not have proved the earth was flat, sure did prove what goes up must come down (as long as it is in the gravational pull).
